On August 21, Jeremy Peng left NEI. Jeremy was a senior member in charge of manager selection and asset allocation.
On August 27, CI Financial informed us that their CEO and director, Peter Anderson, would retire from the firm on September 1, 2019, when his successor, Kurt MacAlpine, formerly executive vice-president and head of global distribution for WisdomTree Asset Management in New York, would take over.
Connor, Clark & Lunn Investment Management
On September 4, the Board of Directors of Connor, Clark & Lunn Investment Management (CC&L) announced the departure of Chris Kalbfleisch, who headed up the Fixed Income Investment team along with Brian Eby, due to health and family issues. From now on, Brian will handle all aspects of team leadership.
Epoch Investment Partners
On September 19, Epoch Investment Partners announced that they will be separating their "business of investing" and "business of the investment business" functions. Accordingly, effective April 1, 2020, Philipp Hensler will become the CEO of Epoch, responsible for all "business of the investment business" functions, whereas William W. Priest will become Executive Chairman of the firm and continue to lead the investment team in his role as Co-Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager.
