Experience
Mathieu Guénec is a computer engineer by training. He graduated from the
École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Paris in 2005. During the first 10 years of his career, he worked in application development and computer consulting where he acquired extensive experience in management and project management, mainly in the energy, financial and public sectors.
He joined Desjardins Group in 2015. Over the next 4 years, he took on different management roles, in particular as part of 2 major strategic projects: the integration of State Farm's Canadian operations and the transformation of property and casualty insurance. In 2020, he agreed to take on the role of Vice-President, IT, P&C Insurance, and P&C Insurance IT Officer, roles which he held until his appointment as Vice-President, IT and Projects, and IT Officer in January 2021.
