Chief Technology and Cyber Risk Officer
 Pierre-Alexandre Braeken ensures rigorous management of non-financial risks across Desjardins Group. He also serves as Chief of Technology and Cyber Risk officer for Desjardins Financial Security (DFS) and Chief Risk for the Caisse Desjardins Ontario (CDO). As part of his responsibilities, he oversees the identification and control of non-financial risks, with ongoing oversight of emerging threats and industry best practices. His pragmatic approach is based on a holistic view of risk, recognizing how people, business processes, and systems are interconnected and interdependent. He also acts as an advisor to business sectors and the caisse network on non-financial risk management.
With over twenty years of experience in risk management, technology, and security, Pierre-Alexandre Braeken joined the Desjardins Group in 2018, where he has held various roles in risk management. Prior to joining Desjardins, he worked in both Europe and Canada for major organizations, including Deloitte, where he led Red Team operations for clients across Canada, the United States, and Europe. He has also supported numerous organizations during security incidents across North America.
  
Recognized as a cybersecurity expert, Pierre-Alexandre Braeken has had the privilege of presenting his research at some of the world’s leading international conferences, including the prestigious Black Hat conference in Las Vegas. He holds a European bachelor’s degree in business IT and the MCSE certification. Mr. Braeken stands out for his human-centred leadership and his commitment to showcasing the talents of his diverse and multicultural teams.
